This 12 days’ adventure trek will bring you closer to one of the mightiest Himalayas which is hard to fully appreciate on paper. One of the most popular trekking destinations in the world, Annapurna Base Camp Trek combines some of the most spectacular mountain scenery, providing an appealing insight into the modern hill life of Nepal. Your journey begins after a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and through beautiful settlements like Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tadapani, Chomrong, Dobhan and on to Machhapuchhre Base Camp from where we finally hike to the lap of Annapurna south and return through the valley to Pokhara.
This is a unique trek alongside terraced rice paddies, lush rhododendron forests, village and high altitude landscapes with the Annapurna Range surrounded by enormous glaciers in view most of the times. Annapurna region is also known for its rare abode of snow leopards, blue sheep and a variety of birds.
There are few treks that combine so many different landscapes and bring you so close to the base of 7,000 and 8,000-meter peaks in a such a short period of time as the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The setting of Annapurna Base Camp at 4130 m is unique and incredibly spectacular, set amidst the majestic peaks of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machhapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m).
